Two More Truckloads for Hurricane Katrina Relief

Today has been a busy and exciting day for Giving Children Hope. The week ended with the preparation and departure of two 53-foot trucks to Houston, TX and to Ocean Springs, MS. As always, each truck load was customized to address the needs of its destination with products supplied by the local community. GCH employees worked diligently to load the trucks, which included sizable product contributions from St. John’s Lutheran Church in Orange, and Imperial Manufacturing of Corona, CA.

St. John Lutheran, in collaboration with Lutheran High of Orange, organized and ran a cleaning supply drive to benefit GCH. The cleaning products collected will be provided to St. Paul United Methodist Church in Ocean Springs, MS, and were included in today’s shipment along with stoves (wok cooker, soup cooker, and grill) donated by Imperial Manufacturing, t-shirts, and teddy bears.

The semi-truck headed to Lindale Assembly of God in Houston, TX also included stoves (BBQ grill, wok cooker, soup cooker, and griddle) donated by Imperial Manufacturing, along with hygiene items, food, and three more pallets of etnies shoes.
