Yesterday, Giving Children Hope, in partnership with Union Rescue Mission, sent a shipment of disaster relief to Galveston, TX for their Hurricane Ike disaster relief efforts. This is the third shipment for Hurricane Ike disaster relief efforts.

The shipment included blankets, pillows, nutrition bars, water, cleaning supplies and blephamide (an antibacterial medication that works to stop the growth of certain bacteria that cause eye infections, and also to reduce swelling and redness in the eye).

The shipment will be delivered to our partner Friend Ships, who is setting up in port in Galveston to bring much needed relief.
