Giving Children Hope is moving quickly to assess the needs in the earthquake ravaged island of Sumatra. Giving Children Hope has a team in Indonesia that is delivering food and administering medical care to people who were affected by the disaster. We are the only team there that is providing rice to the communities.
The Associated Press reports more than 777 people have died from the 7.6 and 6.6 earthquakes that struck near Padang just hours apart on Wednesday and Thursday.

Medicines Leave for Haiti
Giving Children Hope, in partnership with Union Rescue Mission, has shipped out two pharmaceutical packages to assist survivors in Haiti.
