Relief for Iowa Relief for Iowa Relief for Iowa

More than 11 million people in nine Midwestern states have been affected by the flooding disaster and extreme weather of recent weeks, the Federal Emergency Management Agency said. Iowa has been hit the hardest: 83 of its 99 counties have been declared disaster areas and more than 4.8 million sandbags have been set. Officials say this is the worst flooding in the Midwest area in 15 years.

Giving Children Hope, in partnership with Cottonwood Church, has sent their second shipment of disaster relief to Iowa. Food and hygiene products are being sent to the Church on Fire Christian Center where the aid will be distributed by Pastor Brenton Hall, who served as pastor at Cottonwood Church in Los Alamitos, CA for 8 years.
