As a response to the 2008 Atlantic Hurricane Season that has caused damage in multiple countries, Giving Children Hope sent a shipment of aid to New Orleans Dream Center, located in downtown New Orleans.
The Dream Center is opening a relief center within the Dream Center for those who will be let back into the city. They are one of few groups allowed back into New Orleans. They anticipate that people with special needs will be returning this weekend.
It is a 40,000 sq. ft. facility and they predict to be serving more than 2,000 people a day.
The center will be sending Giving Children Hope a wish list of items they will need which will include but not be limited to food, diapers and hygiene items.
Giving Children Hope has partnered with the New Orleans Dream Center for the last three years for long-term relief from Hurricane Katrina.
