Giving Children Hope is working to ship needed pharmaceuticals to the rural areas that have no health care. The medicines will be distributed to approximately 200 doctors who work through mobile medical clinics.
The association’s mobile clinic treats water related disease, tuberculosis, malnutrition, and malaria. The clinic visits rural areas where no medical care facilities are available. The primary population served are orphans who are malnourished, as well as children who were former slaves. Most of the orphans have been abandoned by their HIV inflicted parents who abandon them to become sex workers.
The medical care is part of Asia International University’s education mission to transform the Killing Fields to the Healing Fields.
The AIU team is back and ready to move forward. They sat down with GCHope to talk about the success of the Pharmaceutical project in Cambodia and what the future holds for the program.
They brought back many pictures and a DVD of the Cambodian National Television News who covered much of the trip for the whole country to see.
Check out the pictures and interview with the team, and look out for the news broadcast coming soon to GCHope TV.
