Local Non-Profit Responds to Myanmar/Burma Cyclone Disaster
BEUNA PARK, Calif. (May 6, 2008) Giving Children Hope is collecting donations for the cyclone victims and is sending materials with a mission team with Taft Avenue Community Church, to leave on Thursday.
Giving Children Hope is planning on sending water purification tables and water filter bottles with the missions team where they will be working on-site of the disaster.
Monetary donations are be collected to purchase water purification tablets, antibiotics, mosquito netting, local food and other disaster materials. Donations of disaster materials are also being collected at Giving Children Hope’s distribution center at 8332 Commonwealth Ave. Buena Park 90621.
Giving Children Hope is an Orange County, California faith-based nonprofit organization engaged in domestic and international poverty alleviation through disaster relief, medical development, vocational training and advocacy.
