Students Graduate from Computer Course

On January 31, four students completed Giving Children Hope’s computer training course as part of the workforce development program, Hands of Hope.

In the 8-week course, students learned the basic operations of a computer, basic typing skills, and Microsoft Office. The 8-week course concluded with a career training workshop where they learned how to write a resume, interview well, and search for a job.

Hands of Hope is Giving Children Hope’s workforce development program which aims to alleviate poverty at its source by equipping vulnerable individuals with the job skills they need to become self-sufficient. Hands of Hope has been supported by the United Way of Orange County since 2003.
