Heavy rainfall caused by the phenomenon known as “La Nina” has lead to destructive floods in 11 of Ecuador’s provinces. The floods began in January of 2008, and have led to the loss of lives, crops and thousands of homes.

The relief aid will be sent to victims of flooding in Manabí, one of the most affected provinces.
