Healthcare Development in Halabja, Iraq

Giving Children Hope replenishes and refurbishes medical clinics and hospitals in Iraqi communities

Through an ongoing healthcare development program in Iraq, Giving Children Hope equips hospitals and clinics with new and refurbished medical equipment and supplies. Each month, three 40 foot containers filled with equipment and supplies leave the GCH Distribution Center bound for Baghdad, Al Quim, and Irbil.

With the establishment of a local NGO, Giving Children Hope-Iraq, located in Basrah, GCH is uniquely equiped to address the needs of local Iraqi populations. GCH is also very involved in a “Continuing Medical Education Program,” through which Iraqi physicians are sponsored to travel to the US and receive advanced training at top medical institutions such as UCI and USC.

How you can help

Monetary donations are greatly needed to help with the costs of procuring medical equipment and supplies, refurbishment, and shipping.

Volunteers are always needed to help sort and pack supplies bound for medical clinics in developing countries. Please call our offices at 714-523-4454 to learn more about volunteer opportunities surrounding this project.
