Hands of Hope Launches Warehouse Training Program

Warehouse training program promotes self-sufficiency

Giving Children Hope’s workforce development program, Hands of Hope, is launching their 4-month warehouse training program on February 12.

The 4-month program will include basic hands-on training conducted by the warehouse manager in shipping and receiving items and basic operations of an international nonprofit organization. The training program includes certification in forklift operations.

Training will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 A.M to 12 P.M. The cost is a $5 fee that will be refunded upon completion of the training. Participants must be 18 or older or be 18 by May 4. Space is limited.

Hands of Hope focuses on equipping vulnerable individuals with the job skills they need to re-enter the workforce and earn a self-sustaining wage.

Giving Children Hope Sends Team to Myanmar

Giving Children Hope has sent out their own medical team to Myanmar where they have been assessing what the greatest needs are in the area, bringing medicine and working with doctors, and working to open up distribution channels for the last two weeks.
