Giving Children Hope Replenishes Medical Clinics in Iraq
Buena Park, Calif. (December 12, 2007) – Giving Children Hope is preparing to ship a 40 foot container full of medical supplies and equipment bound for Irbil, Iraq. The distribution center staff will be packing the container at 10 AM this morning.
Through an ongoing healthcare development program in Iraq, Giving Children Hope equips hospitals and clinics with new and refurbished medical equipment and supplies. An average of three monthly 40 foot containers filled with equipment and supplies leave the GCH Distribution Center bound for regions such as Baghdad, Al Quim, Basrah and Irbil.
This container will include clinical supplies, a hospital bed, IV liquids, hospital linens, surgical supplies, a wash basin, lab supplies, and oxygen supplies.
“By contributing to Giving Children Hope, whether it is monetarily, through the donation of items, or by volunteering time, one is able to tangibly make a difference in the well-being and medical health of children and families in developing countries. Our healthcare development program in Iraq is helping to save lives by refurbishing hospitals and clinics in need.†–Ashley Stinson, spokeswoman and Communications Coordinator with Giving Children Hope
