Giving Children Hope is teaming up with San Francisco City Impact to equip the San Francisco City Academy with 17 computers.

Established by San Francisco City Impact in 1997, the San Francisco City Academy is a private K-8th grade school serving the children of the Tenderloin District, a neighborhood in the heart of San Francisco.

The Tenderloin has the highest crime rate of any district in San Francisco with an annual average of two crimes per resident and three major crimes per hour.

The Academy seeks to break this cycle of poverty and crime by educating and empowering the children who grow up in the Tenderloin.

These new computers will enable the students to learn computer skills, and give them access to educational computer programs.
