GCH Sends Boxes of Food to New Orleans

Today, Giving Children Hope sent 500 boxes of food to New Orleans to help with our partners’, Church of the King, Thanksgiving outreach event. They will be serving seniors on fixed incomes and low income families.
The church will be doing a program with music and entertainment for the children as well as having their Mobile Medical Unit available to do health screenings: blood sugar, blood pressure and BMI. There are almost 400 seniors that live in the high-rise complex and a little over 300-families that live in the apartments.
The church will also include Giving Children Hope’s donated chicken instead of turkeys in their meal boxes.
