First Shipment of Relief Aid Bound for the Gulf Coast

Giving Children Hope Kicks of Major Relief Effort for the Gulf Coast

A truck filled with relief supplies left our Buena Park, CA distribution center Friday afternoon headed for a staging area we have set up in Baton Rouge, LA. The truck is scheduled to arrive there sometime Monday. Giving Children Hope President John Ditty is scheduled to arrive in Baton Rouge Saturday afternoon where he will be joined by David Gales (Director of Program Development) to make final arrangements for distribution of the relief supplies.

Included in this shipment are six high output propane stoves donated by Imperial Manufacturing of Corona, CA that will be used to prepare meals for people in areas without power. The truck also contained diapers, personal hygiene items, water, and several tons of dried beans, rice and vegetables were shipped as well.
