Giving Children Hope is working with Mobile Medical Disaster Relief (MMDR) and their partner Mission Lazarus to establish a medical clinic in Cedeno, a coastal town in the Choluteca province of Honduras.
The people of Honduras, especially the indigent of the Choluteca province, have limited access to healthcare. This increases the likelihood of respiratory infections, malaria, parasites, infant mortality, and water borne diseases.
The clinic is projected to provide care for an average of 360 people a month in what is considered one of the poorest areas of Honduras.
Our partners have launched the brand new clinic that Giving Children Hope helped develop. Here is an update from the field:
We just returned from Honduras where we had the grand opening of the clinic by throwing a dinner open to everyone in the community. Hundreds of people showed up and feasted and enjoyed the fellowship. As we are on the coast where it frequently floods, the clinic is built up on stilts which allows for the Church to meet beneath the clinic (when it is dry!)…To God be the glory!
Thank you so much for all of your help. We plan on continuing this relationship long into the future.
Have a great day. Lord bless you
