More than 1 million Lebanese are without homes and many have lost everything. Giving Children Hope is working in partnership with the United Nations World Food Program, the Free Evangelical Association Lebanon, Mercy Corps, and the Hariri Foundation to assist hundreds of displaced families in Southern Lebanon.
Please join with us during these perilous times as we reach out to those in need by sending medical supplies, medical equipment, hygiene products, and over-the-counter medicines.
Because hospitals and clinics in south Lebanon have been destroyed, these items have been urgently requested.
We are immediately shipping two 53 ft. truckloads of medical and humanitarian supplies to JFK Airport, where they will be combined with additional cargo and airlifted to Lebanon. Our contribution includes more than 60 tons of supplies valued at approximately $1 million. We are also planning to ship four 40 ft. ocean containers to Lebanon.
Total funding needed to ship these supplies to Lebanon amounts to $50,000. Surplus funds received will be sent to the local Lebanese people in need.
