Aid to Armenia

Giving Children Hope, in partnership with International Orthodox Christian Charities, Inc., is shipping a container of medical supplies to the Greek Medical Fund Hippocrates clinic in Armenia, with the help of Hellenicare.

Hellenicare provides medical services and humanitarian assistance to socially unprotected individuals of all ages who live in the town of Alaverdi, Armenia and the surrounding remote villages. They also assist refugees in remote Armenian villages. The most common ailments treated in the clinic are gastrointestinal disease, cardiovascular disease and circulatory System disease.

Around 300 patients are seen by the staff, which consists of three doctors, three nurses, six assistants and periodic volunteers from the Hellenistic Federation of Armenia.
